O'Donnell Plastering

Since 1972 O’Donnell Plastering Inc. has been building the Silicon Valley. Like the Valley, we have grown to keep up with the industry demands of the area. The industry has seen many changes in the last 30 years and O’Donnell is a leader. Chet and Marlene O’Donnell, founders and owners, have been on many different association boards and both are past presidents. The second generation is following in their footsteps as leaders in the industry as well.

O'Donnell Plastering has worked on additions and custom homes. They have also worked in the Design Build field using Conventional lath, Portland cement 3 coat plaster, Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems EIFS. Metal stud framing is one of the many changes the industry has seen.

The work force consists of trained Union craftsman. The fleet of 15 trucks, booms, and lifts has been one of our proud accomplishments to serving our contractors. The new wave of radio is a part of our ever changing growth. The field keeps in touch with superintendents and problems are resolved in half the time as years ago.

The Plastering industry will continue to be the leader in exterior cladding systems in the Silicon Valley for years to come. O’Donnell Plastering Inc. will continue to grow as in the past. Our market area has expanded to the greater San Francisco Bay area with most of the work force in the Silicon Valley. Interior plaster is a lost art, but we have a crew that can build it the old fashion way. Picture moldings, Crown Moldings, Dome ceilings, Niches, are all beautiful when plastered into the building. The new, and old Veneer plaster also have the same creative beauty as ART. Metal stud framing for the exterior walls get us the best finish results. We like to frame the exterior walls to keep quality control on the whole wall system and making sure the system works completely for the life of the building.

Today buildings need to be alive and working as a group of systems together. Working with architecture and the environment has become an important part of the plastering industry. The vastness of the exterior plaster system allows O’Donnell Plastering to excel in the field. Offering many different systems to the architect and owner has become the most exciting business opportunity we have had in the past 30 years of business. The ART of plastering has evolved to bring systems together, with technology and testing. The choice is, do you want to build with a industry leader, or just have the gang drive up and throw it on the wall and drive away? We know the in’s and out’s of building, and O’Donnell Plastering will be here in the future.

There are also two superintendents, Jeff O’Donnell and Walt Backeroff, and a large number of job site foremen that have been with us over 12 years. All connected with Nextel radios.

Custom Homes

We can provide a current list of job sites that are under construction, or recently completed. Our annual sales exceeds 8 million. There are 50 to 80 projects to see each year. We are proud to say we have installed over 2 million square feet of the EIFS and over 756 thousand yards of Lath and Plaster.
